Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information emryherring.com collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The site is run by Emry Herring, doing business as HeftyLefty Strength Systems, based in Michigan, USA.

Information you give me

Coaching intake form: your name, email, phone number, age, Instagram handle, preferred contact method, training history and goals, current lifts, sports background, competition history, training availability, how you heard about me, and anything else you choose to share.
Health information: the intake form asks about injuries or limitations. This is optional, and I only ask for it so I can design training that's safe for you.
Marketing inquiry form: your name, email, business, phone number if you choose, the services you're interested in, and your message.
Free program signup: your email address. Signing up for a free program also adds you to my email list, as explained on the signup form.
Reviews: your star rating, review text, name, which service it was for, and, if you choose, your email.
Purchases: when you buy a program or pay for coaching, payment is handled by Stripe. I receive your name, email, and what you bought, but never your full card number.
Emails and messages you send me directly.

Information collected automatically

No analytics, ads, or tracking cookies. This site doesn't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.
Hosting logs: like nearly every website, my host (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability.
Fonts, scripts, and videos: to display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts, page code from unpkg, and, on the portfolio page, videos from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Those providers receive your IP address and basic browser information when this happens.
Your own browser storage: a few pages may save small amounts of data in your browser so the page works. That data stays on your device.

How I use your information

To reply to you and decide whether coaching is a good fit
To deliver programs and coaching you request or buy
To process payments and keep basic business and tax records
To publish your review, only if you gave permission when submitting it
To send occasional emails with training tips, updates, and offers to people who signed up for a free program. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
To keep the site secure and comply with the law

I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it for targeted advertising. The only people who get marketing emails from me are those who signed up for a free program, and you can unsubscribe from those anytime using the link in any email or by emailing me. Unsubscribing won't affect access to anything you've already received.

Who your information is shared with

Only the service providers needed to run the site and my business:

Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to my email
Google (Gmail), where I receive and store those emails
Hostinger, which hosts the website
Stripe, which processes payments
Google Fonts, unpkg, and YouTube, which supply fonts, page code, and videos as described above

I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Reviews

Reviews are only published with your permission. Published reviews show your name as you entered it, along with your review and the service it was for. Your email is never shown. You can ask me to remove your review at any time.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as we're working together and as long as needed for records such as taxes, then delete it. You can ask me to delete it sooner, and I will unless the law requires me to keep it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I have about you, including any health information, by emailing emryherring@gmail.com. I'll respond within 30 days. Some states, such as California and Washington, give residents specific privacy rights. I honor these requests from everyone, wherever you live, and I won't treat you differently for making one.

Do Not Track

Because this site doesn't track you across other websites, it works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. Anyone 13 to 17 needs a parent or guardian's permission to use my services. If you believe a child under 13 has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.

Security

I use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
